This illustration is the result of a collaboration with Cait Fitzwater, Marketing Director of Third Plateau who came up with the idea of giving art as holiday present to clients and partners.
She found me through the womenwhodraw website and the rest is history.
The creative brief was to represent Third Plateau mission and vision, their dedication to social impact
and working together towards a brighter future.

After several explorations, I presented three different concepts and this is the one selected. It is called it "Well rooted trees thrive together" - it talks about interconnectedness and working together.
The illustration had to represent diversity of genres, cultures, nationalities and religious backgrounds, to portray Third Plateau eclectic team of strategist and the different kinds of people and organizations they team up to bring social impact in areas such as health, education, democracy, indigenous organizations,

Although the final illustration is done in Procreate on the ipad, I like to start working with paper and pencil
to get an idea of the real size - 18" x 15" - and proportions of the people and details.
