River Clean Up • Illustrations and Posters
I recently had the opportunity to volunteer trough Catchafire to create illustrations and design posters for the Tennessee Riverkeeper Foundation. Their mission is "to protect the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers and their tributaries by enforcing environmental laws and educating the public."
The flyer/poster should communicate an aquatic litter cleanup on a creek or river.
The final illustrations/designs will be used in social media campaigns and printed posters.
Initially I researched images about the Tennessee river, rivers in general and creeks and did some more realistic sketches based on the pictures.
I liked the simple more graphic image of the river flowing in the center of the image - it made cleaner and bolder, and decided to go for a more stylized and flat interpretation of the elements in the illustration.
The three illustrations below are the studies I presented for review and feedback.
They liked all the options and will used for different cleanups. The final posters had the tittle, date and times (TBD), logo and social media.
Many thanks to Catchafire and Tennessee Riverkeeper for letting me help you with this project!
Thanks for watching and hope you liked it!
